Hot stones are added to a deep tissue massage to boost the benefits with thermal therapy. Smooth, flat, basalt stones (river rocks) are heated to a comfortable temperature and placed on areas of the body over a towel or sheet or in the therapists hands with massage strokes. The goal of hot stone massage is to warm an area to allow for deeper massage, especially to areas that are tight.

Therapeutic massage prescribed by your doctor to treat a specific injury or medical condition. We can bill your insurance only if Your Healthy Karma is in-network with your plan and your benefits cover massage therapy. Coverage and requirements vary, so please confirm with your insurance provider before booking.

Medical massage (Premera Blue Cross)

Therapeutic massage prescribed by your doctor to treat a specific injury or medical condition, provided on a self-pay basis when insurance benefits do not apply.

If you have out-of-network massage therapy coverage, we can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please note: payment is due at the time of service, and reimbursement is not guaranteed—it depends on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.

Medical Massage – Self Pay / Out-of-Network

Therapeutic massage for injuries related to a motor vehicle accident, billed to your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage or the at-fault party’s auto insurance. Treatments are provided under a referral or prescription from your healthcare provider and are tailored to your recovery plan.

We bill auto insurance directly when Your Healthy Karma is authorized by your claim adjuster. Coverage and visit limits vary; a valid claim number and prescription/referral are required before treatment.
